Mushrooms of Down Under

The summer before I started graduate school, I went on a three month solo backpacking tour around the southern hemisphere. I worked at an apiary in New Zealand,  hung out with British ex-pats in Australia, and drove a moped around Samoa. It was absolutely wonderful -- and there were mushrooms everywhere! I shouldn't have been surprised; mushrooms have been found on every continent (including Antarctica), and it was winter in the southern hemisphere, after all. They were a treat to see, and I hope you enjoy them too.
